Hi, my name is Harrison Quick, and I am a student attending a wonderful charter school called Animas High School. So far, it has been the best school year of my life. Because this is my first year here, that is a lot to say. At Animas High, as students, we are subjected to a kind of teaching different from most traditional schools in America. This is project-based learning, meaning we learn through interaction, and through the composition of projects. Although I have been subject to traditional teaching my whole life up until now, I definitely love project-based learning. I was born in Denver, Colorado, and lived there for the first few years of my life, then moved to Durango, where I have spent all my school life, Preschool through High School, and I have played a variety of sports, like Hockey, Lacrosse, Baseball, and swimming. As for hobbies, I have skied and Mountain Biked, which I still do, along with hockey and Lacrosse. All I'm hoping is that this will be a successful High School experience at Animas, and I'm sure I'll have a lot of fun!
