Preamble: Whereas there are 11 million undocumented immigrants living in the United States and more crossing the border every day, and since 58 percent of the illegal immigration population comes from Mexico, and since the number of children born to at least one unauthorized-immigrant parent is 350,000, and since the number of immigrants is rising and approaching levels that haven’t been seen since the early 20th century, and since there are 21 thousand Americans working border control,
SECTION 1: Increase programs to prevent illegal immigrants from entering the U.S. by--
Sub-SECTION A: Recognizing border patrol positions as military personnel, and subsequently leaking 2% of military funding into border patrol funding for additional equipment and forces.
Sub-SECTION B: Increasing border patrol size by 30%, border areas monitored by 700 miles, and number of patrols by 30%
SECTION 2: Make immigrating to the U.S. legally easier than immigrating to the U.S. illegally by--
Sub-SECTION A: Providing existing immigrants of over 5 years to legally apply for temporary citizenship/work visas.
Sub-SECTION B: Allowing immigrants to come to the U.S. under a work visa as long as they attend a United States university, granting citizenship to them after graduating from the aforementioned University with at least a bachelors degree, disenrolling will result in deportation.
Sub-SECTION C: Granting immigrants attending U.S. universities in-state tuition rates.
Sub-SECTION D: Granting immigrants with collegiate bachelor degrees or higher with a work visa for five years. Followed by the opportunity to apply for a permanent U.S. citizenship.
SECTION 3: Make welfare and receiving social security checks available only to immigrants who have been a legal United States citizen for at least 15 years, as long as all other criteria for these programs are met.
SECTION 4: This bill must be implemented within one year and six months after passing in the United States Senate.
