Picasso Drawing
One of the first projects we were assigned in Intro to Drawing was to draw one of Picasso's sketches (very left) upside-down. First, we didn't use gridlines (middle). Obviously, it didn't turn out great proportionately. On the right, you can see that I was able to achieve drastically more accurate proportions with the use of gridlines.

First Self Portrait
This is an image of my first self portrait for this class. As you can see, there is not a lot of depth in my face, especially my nose. I definitely struggled a lot with the nose and hair. I believe this portrait took me close to three hours to complete.

Drawing of a woman using grid
This is a drawing we were assigned to do of a sketch of a woman. We were told to use a grid on the back of our papers and take the time to make a polished, well-done rendition of the original sketch. I believe this one turned out really well, as I did put a lot of time and effort into it. |

Second Self Portrait
As you can see, my second self portrait has a lot more value than my first one did. There seems to be more life in my eyes, the value gives my face a 3-D quality, and it actually looks like me. My favorite part about this piece is my hair. It turned out much better than I was anticipating.

Pen and ink drawing
This is a piece of mine that is actually a rendition of another piece of work in which the artist used a technique called stippling. Stippling uses thousands and thousands of tiny dots to create a broader image. This piece in particular took me several hours to complete, but I think i nailed it.
